Managing Multiple Google Accounts

Many people have more than one Google account. Perhaps you have a work account and a personal account, or multiples of either. I happen to have 7 accounts I work with regularly.
Before I heard this tip, when I was at home and toggling between accounts, I often mistakenly saved work stuff to my personal account or vise versa. How frustrating! This tip was a life safer.

Tasks in Google Calendar

Have you tried Google tasks yet? I have been using tasks in Gmail for some time now, but I didn't discover the tasks feature in Google Calendar until recently. It's been a game changer for me, so I though I'd share how to use this helpful feature.
Here are the basic instructions from Google to get you started:
To create a task from Calendar:
  1. In the My calendars section, click Tasks.
  2. Click in the blank space below the date you want the task to start on.
  3. Click Task.
  4. Name the task and add notes.
  5. Click Create task.

Gmail Tabs

Inline image 1

Gmail tabs have been around for a while, but users often get confused or frustrated by them. Tabs were designed to help you keep your inbox organized, and many people find them helpful once they know how to manage them to suit their needs.

If you don't see tabs in your Gmail account, you can turn them on by following these steps:
  1. Open Gmail.
  2. Click the gear icon Gear icon in the upper right, then select Configure inbox.
  3. Check the boxes of the tabs you want to see.
  4. Click Save.
Of course you can always turn tabs off if you don't like them. You can manage tabs by clicking on the + to the right of the tabs.
